Diamante Farms Shows Solid Support for Young Dressage Riders

Diamante Farms owners Terri and Devon Kane are passionate about supporting up-and-coming dressage riders. Devon rose up through the ranks as a Young Rider and, in 2007, she was a NAJYRC Individual Gold Medalist and Team Bronze Medalist. Now, she is unstoppable in the show ring as an international Grand Prix rider and a USDF Gold Medalist.
She and her mother and their Diamante Farms sponsor the Under-25 classes throughout the Adequan Global Dressage Festival (AGDF) 12-week show series.
They also helped sponsor the mid-March 2018 Florida International Youth Dressage Championships during week 10 of the AGDF series, along with Kim Van Kampen of Hampton Green Farm, Sarah Davis, the USEF Owners’ Dressage Task Force and Dressage 4Kids. The competition for Pony, Children, Juniors, Young Riders and Under-25 riders offered them the chance to compete in one of the largest and most prestigious dressage shows and venues at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center in Wellington, Florida.
“I think it’s very important that somebody in our community shows that we believe in them and that they matter to us,” Terri Kane said. “They are important to our future because, without them, dressage dies. It’s very important to me to show them that they matter.”
She does her best to not only support them monetarily but also emotionally. She made plans to be there for their rides and to cheer them on. She was there to give the riders their awards on Sunday along with fellow sponsors Sarah Davis and Kim Van Kampen.
“There was a big presentation with the riders in their show attire and they marched on the field,” Terri said. “It’s a big deal for them and I was there to show them that we support them and believe in them.”
